This standard provides the format and establishes the data contents of the Rail Carrier Waybill Interchange Transaction Set within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange environment. This transaction set is used to provide the rail carrier with detailed movement instructions pertinent to a rail carrier shipment and is used by all Class I rail carriers in the United States and Canada.
