This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Delivery/Return Base Record Transaction Set (894) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment.
The transaction set can be used to enable a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) vendor to communicate the details of a DSD delivery and is to be used during the check-in procedure.
To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number
To transmit identifying numbers, dates and other basic data relating to the tranaction set.
To indicate that the next segment begins a loop
To specify the basic, and most frequently used line item data for the delivery record transaction.
To specify pre-pricing information
To specify allowances, charges or services.
To specify the terms of sale
To indicate that the loop immediately preceding this segment is complete
