This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the U.S. Customs Carrier General Order Status Transaction Set (352) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set can be used by carriers, terminal operators, port authorities, or service centers to provide U.S. Customs or consignees with bill of lading status information for cargo in or about to go into ``General Order'' and entry and release information.
To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number
To transmit manifest identifying information
To transmit identifying information for a U.S. port
General order bill of lading
To transmit information in a free-form format for comment or special instruction
To indicate the end of the transaction set and provide the count of the transmitted segments (including the beginning (ST) and ending (SE) segments)
