This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Delivery/Return Base Record Transaction Set (894) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment.
The transaction set can be used to enable a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) vendor to communicate the details of a DSD delivery and is to be used during the check-in procedure.
To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number
To transmit identifying numbers, dates, and other basic data relating to the tranaction set
To transmit identifying information as specified by the Reference Identification Qualifier
To indicate that the next segment begins a loop
To specify the basic, and most frequently used line item data for the delivery record transaction
To specify prepricing information
To specify allowances, charges, or services
To specify the terms of sale
To indicate that the loop immediately preceding this segment is complete
