This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Request for Motor Carrier Rate Proposal Transaction Set (107) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment.
This transaction set can be used by a shipper, receiver, or other relevant party to request that a motor carrier provide a rate and service proposal.
To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number
To indicate the beginning of a transaction set
To specify pertinent dates and times
To identify Bill of Lading handling and service requirements
To identify the commodity to which the application of a rate docket is restricted
To identify shipment details that may impact the rates requested
To identify data applicable to the lanes covered by this proposal
