Relative position of the data element in the segment or composite definition; it is 1 for the data element immediately following the segment ID and is incremented by 1 for each succeeding element to the end of the segment or composite
Code identifying the location of the data element in the Data Element Dictionary
Code specifying the requirement designator as specified in the standard or standards convention
If E2404 contains code "C", then the conditional relationship must be defined in the E22 segment.
Code indicating the type of data element
A number providing a reference to a segment or file which contains notes or comments related to X12 standards documentation
E2406 contains segment syntax notes and comments.
Occurrence counter
07 conveys the repetition designator for either the simple or composite data element being referenced in the E2407 instance.
E2407 shall not be used when referencing a component data element.
The absense of data in E2407 shall be interpreted to equal a repetition designator of one (1).
