EI01 is the count of the entrained equipment.

Prefix or alphabetic part of an equipment unit's identifying number

Sequencing or serial part of an equipment unit's identifying number (pure numeric form for equipment number is preferred)

Code indicating the direction the equipment is entrained or the lading is loaded; When used to indicate the lading orientation, direction is defined relative to the equipment on which it is loaded

Relative position of shipment in car, trailer, or container (mutually defined)

EI05 is the tier of the tag placement.

Code indicating the status of an Automatic Equipment Identification Tag
