This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data content of the U.S. Customs Manifest Acceptance/Rejection Transaction Set (355) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange Environment. The transaction set can be used by U.S. Customs to report errors and discrepancies discovered in the U.S. Customs Manifest Transaction Set (309) to ocean carriers, terminal operators, port authorities, and service centers. The transaction set is also used to report the acceptance of a manifest.
